About the position

Our travel and hospitality client is seeking a Copywriter to join their creative services team full time! This role is hybrid, requiring onsite presence 3 days a week in the Southwest Suburbs and allowing 2 days of work from home. The ideal candidate will have experience across a wide range of media including digital and email, direct mail, advertising, and editorial content. The role demands a creative individual who is equally adept at crafting striking headlines and engaging in-depth storytelling, with a proven ability to communicate effectively with an affluent audience. A portfolio showcasing both long and short form writing samples is essential, and experience within the Travel/Hospitality space is a significant advantage. The Copywriter will be responsible for writing a variety of marketing copy, which includes emails, direct mail, advertising, editorial content, headlines, product brochures, and itineraries. The candidate must adhere to the client's style and brand voice while writing for an affluent audience. Following in-house procedures for writing, revising, and circulating copy drafts with stakeholders is crucial. The Copywriter will collaborate with Product, Marketing, and Sales teams to acquire the necessary product knowledge for each project. Additionally, they will assume production responsibility for all assigned projects and track daily progress with the Global Managing Editor, participating in weekly team meetings to ensure alignment and progress on all tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Writing a variety of different marketing copy including emails, direct mail, advertising, editorial content, headlines, product brochures, and itineraries.
  • Following the client's style and brand voice while writing for an affluent audience.
  • Adhering to in-house procedures for writing, revising, and circulating copy drafts with stakeholders.
  • Collaborating with Product, Marketing, and Sales teams to acquire necessary product knowledge for each project.
  • Assuming production responsibility for all assigned projects.
  • Tracking daily progress with the Global Managing Editor and participating in weekly team meetings.

Requirements

  • Experience across a wide range of media including digital and email, direct mail, advertising, and editorial content.
  • Proven ability to communicate with an affluent audience.
  • Portfolio with long and short form writing samples.
  • Ability to work on a team and understand their function.
  • Skill in tracking deadlines and managing multiple simultaneous projects.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience within the Travel/Hospitality space is a HUGE plus.
