About the position

Adtalem Global Education is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Copywriter to join our team. This role is pivotal in enhancing the student experience and supporting enrollment growth across our portfolio of healthcare-focused higher education institutions. As a Copywriter, you will be responsible for writing and editing original content that aligns with our brand's voice and tone, ensuring consistency across all channels and platforms. You will collaborate closely with institution marketing directors and creative teams to develop engaging marketing copy for various mediums, including web, advertisements, email campaigns, social media, and blogs. This position reports to the lead copywriter and requires a strong ability to incorporate feedback and revisions to continuously improve your writing skills. In this role, you will execute content assignments based on strategies developed by senior copywriters, participate in brainstorming sessions, and conduct market research to contribute to the overall success of our marketing efforts. You will also be expected to comply with all company policies and standards while performing other duties as assigned. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional writing abilities, a keen attention to detail, and a proven capacity to create compelling content that resonates with our current and prospective students and partners.

Responsibilities

  • Write original marketing copy for various channels including web, ads, email nurture, social media, and blogs.
  • Edit and proofread content to ensure clarity, consistency, and adherence to brand guidelines.
  • Collaborate with senior copywriters and marketing directors to align copy with brand style, voice, and tone.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions and conduct market research to enhance content effectiveness.
  • Incorporate feedback from senior copywriters and lead copywriter to improve writing skills and content quality.
  • Perform other duties as assigned and comply with all company policies and standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in English, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Three (3) plus years of relevant work experience, preferably in a copywriting or editorial role.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to proofread and edit your own work.
  • Familiarity with SEO best practices and how to write for search engines.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven capacity to quickly understand and write about healthcare and higher education in an engaging manner.
  • An exceptional portfolio demonstrating versatility and range in writing style.
  • Demonstrated awareness of B2C and B2B copywriting approaches.
  • Ability to interrogate a brief and find creative ways to present information.
  • Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Experience with social media, email marketing, and digital writing.
