About the position

The Memphis Grizzlies are looking for a skilled Copywriter to create engaging promotional and performance marketing content for the team and its associated events. This role is essential for maintaining a consistent brand voice and ensuring effective communication across various marketing platforms.

Responsibilities

• Write and edit copy for marketing platforms including social media, websites, mobile app, email campaigns, and promotional materials.
• Develop and maintain a unified brand voice tailored to the core fanbase across all channels.
• Drive engagement and conversions through effective copywriting.
• Follow brand guidelines and assist in creating and documenting these guidelines.
• Collaborate with digital marketing, project management, and creative teams for cohesive copy.
• Manage the copy process from project requests to execution, ensuring consistent messaging and grammar across channels.
• Fulfill production design needs for partnership obligations, including creating non-branded assets for partners.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
• 4+ years of full-time professional copywriting experience.
• Proven experience as a copywriter, preferably in marketing or advertising, with a focus on professional sports being a plus.
• Strong understanding of brand voice and ability to tailor messaging to different audiences.
• Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
• Experience with content management systems and digital marketing tools.
