About the position

The Copywriter position at TEKsystems involves editing, writing, and publishing content for the company's e-commerce site and marketing channels. This role is crucial in supporting small businesses and entrepreneurs by creating engaging and effective content that drives business outcomes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in B2C and B2B copywriting, with a focus on SEO and collaboration across various teams to ensure content is optimized and compliant.

Responsibilities

• Writing and editing short-and long-form copy at the product and brand level.
• Collaborating with editor, product tech, legal, SEO, UX, and Creative to create cohesive stories for customers.
• Thoroughly proofreading content through various stages of content production.
• Supporting execution of marketing campaigns across email, social, mobile, and onsite.
• Building content in highly engaging formats based on data analysis (bounce rate, CTR, scroll depth, etc.).
• Producing compelling storytelling-first content, anchored in business outcomes.
• Developing and writing engaging content for blogs, videos, emails, and other channels.
• Monitoring and analyzing content performance metrics such as page views and engagement.
• Continuously refining and improving content based on performance data and feedback.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in B2C or B2B copywriting.
• Proven ability to write clear, compelling, and engaging content for various channels.
• Strong understanding of SEO principles and best practices.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
• Strong analytical skills and experience with content performance metrics.
• Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in the small business or entrepreneurial space.
• Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and web publishing tools (Quip).
