About the position

The Copywriter at Exit Planning Institute (EPI) is a vital member of the marketing team, reporting directly to the Marketing Manager. This role is centered around crafting compelling content that drives engagement, enhances brand awareness, and contributes to business growth. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a creative flair, possessing a passion for storytelling and the ability to convey brand narratives that resonate with diverse audiences. The Copywriter will be responsible for producing a variety of content types, including blogs, website copy, whitepapers, case studies, and email campaigns. This position requires proactive engagement with subject matter experts to gather insights, develop editorial content strategies, and implement SEO best practices. The Copywriter will also manage a holistic editorial calendar that aligns content efforts with business objectives and audience interests. By collaborating with cross-functional teams, this role will significantly shape the brand narrative and drive measurable results through data-driven content strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Write and edit high-quality content for blogs, website copy, whitepapers, case studies, emails, infographics, ad copy, and more, tailored to various target audiences.
  • Proactively engage with subject matter experts, industry leaders, and internal stakeholders to gather insights for content development.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive editorial calendar that aligns with business objectives and audience interests, ensuring timely and consistent content delivery.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop strategies for promoting content through various channels, including paid advertising, influencer partnerships, and social media.
  • Understand and adapt to EPI's brand voice, ensuring consistency and tone across all written materials while tailoring messaging to different content types and audience segments.
  • Use tools such as Google Analytics, SEMRush, Google Search Console, and social media analytics to track content performance, identify trends, and optimize future content strategies based on data insights.
  • Ensure all content adheres to EPI's brand guidelines and industry regulations, maintaining a consistent tone of voice and messaging across all channels.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, design, sales, and external partners, to ensure content efforts align with broader business goals and campaigns.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, English, Creative Writing, Marketing, or related fields.
  • 3+ years of professional copywriting or content creation experience, with a portfolio demonstrating expertise across different content types.
  • Strong professional writing, editing, and proofreading skills to craft engaging and persuasive content for diverse audiences and channels.
  • Experience interviewing subject matter experts and translating complex ideas into clear, compelling content.
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices and experience optimizing content for search engines.
  • Proficiency in using analytics tools like Google Analytics and Google Search Console to measure content effectiveness.
  • A strategic mindset with a passion for storytelling and driving engagement through content.
  • Analytical with the ability to interpret data, draw insights, and make data-driven decisions to improve content performance.
