About the position

The Copywriter at Meta is responsible for conceptualizing and creating innovative advertising and brand content across various mediums. This role focuses on storytelling that humanizes technology, ensuring that complex ideas are communicated clearly to diverse audiences. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively within a cross-functional team to produce original and impactful work that aligns with Meta's creative vision and strategic goals.

Responsibilities

  • Concept and create big ideas for all mediums, including mobile, social, app design/product, film, interactive, content, activations, OOH, experiential, events, etc.
  • Understand how copywriting and conceptual ideas can be used to tell a story on behalf of a brand and within an app/product.
  • Communicate complicated technology topics in clear, concise ways to a non-technical audience.
  • Present ideas in a clear and focused way to build consensus within the team.
  • Work collaboratively within a cross-functional team environment with art directors, designers, engineers, strategists, and product managers.
  • Work autonomously, demonstrating your ability to take initiative and lead projects.
  • Create original, breakthrough work.
  • Translate complex strategic approaches into easily accessible creative concepts.

Requirements

  • 5+ years experience in agency/in-house concepting and copywriting for global brands.
  • Demonstrated experience working on mobile-first social campaigns.
  • Experience crafting content that breathes humanity into technology in a way that is understood by audiences.
  • History of self-initiated projects.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Must obtain work authorization in country of employment at the time of hire and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working cross-functionally within a highly collaborative environment.
  • 7+ years experience in agency/in-house concepting and copywriting for global brands.
  • Experience in-product storytelling and project strategy.
  • Experience in pursuing emerging technologies.
  • Future-first mindset, and experience creating in new platforms such as augmented, virtual or mixed reality, gaming, Web3, AI, NFTs, avatars, etc.
