About the position

The Copywriter will be responsible for editing, writing, and publishing content for the company's e-commerce site and supporting marketing channels. This role is crucial in empowering entrepreneurs and small businesses by providing engaging and actionable content. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of editorial content's role in the B2B journey and will work independently while collaborating across multiple teams to optimize content for various campaigns.

Responsibilities

  • Writing and editing short-and long-form copy at the product and brand level
  • Collaborating with editor, product tech, legal, SEO, UX, and Creative to create cohesive stories for customers
  • Thoroughly proofreading content through various stages of content production
  • Supporting execution of marketing campaigns across email, social, mobile, and onsite
  • Building content in highly engaging formats based on data analysis
  • Producing compelling storytelling-first content, anchored in business outcomes
  • Developing and writing engaging content for blogs, videos, emails, and other channels
  • Collaborating with SEO team to optimize content for search engines
  • Working with the Legal team to ensure content compliance
  • Partnering with the Web Publishing team for timely content publication
  • Monitoring and analyzing content performance metrics
  • Continuously refining and improving content based on performance data and feedback
  • Staying updated on industry trends and best practices in copywriting and content marketing

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in B2C or B2B copywriting
  • Proven ability to write clear, compelling, and engaging content for various channels
  • Strong understanding of SEO principles and best practices
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with content performance metrics
  • Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the small business or entrepreneurial space
  • Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and web publishing tools (Quip)
  • Knowledge of legal and compliance considerations in content creation
