About the position

The Senior Copywriter at Copeland will lead storytelling efforts across various marketing channels, collaborating with the marketing business partner team to execute the company's narrative and brand voice. This role is crucial for developing impactful communication strategies that enhance Copeland's brand equity and positioning in the market. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with strong copywriting skills, capable of adapting messaging for different audiences while maintaining a consistent brand voice.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Marketing Business Partners and stakeholders to develop impactful communication strategies.
  • Identify opportunities to support the Copeland narrative framework and convert them into engaging stories.
  • Write strategic copy for various initiatives including website content, social media, email communications, and marketing collateral.
  • Adapt tone, style, and messaging to suit different market needs and target audiences while maintaining brand voice.
  • Conduct thorough research on industry trends and competitor activities to inform content development.
  • Brainstorm and develop creative concepts that advance marketing strategies and integrated campaigns.
  • Review and refine existing copy across all channels for consistency and effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with design and other department leads to ensure a cohesive brand story.
  • Utilize digital and AI tools to enhance content creation and optimize workflows.
  • Manage multiple projects through project management software to meet deadlines.

Requirements

  • Excellent writing, storytelling, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of related marketing writing experience across digital and traditional channels.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Basic knowledge of search engine optimization best practices related to website copy.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to organize a daily workload and prioritize tasks.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
  • Experience in project management software (i.e., Monday.com).

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree or higher.
  • Knowledge of content accessibility standards and inclusive writing practices.
  • Familiarity with AP, Chicago, or another recognized editorial style guide.
