About the position

The part-time copywriter will work onsite in Madison, WI, contributing to a luxury enterprise client. This role requires a collaborative approach in a fast-paced environment, focusing on producing high-quality copy that resonates with target audiences and drives engagement. The copywriter will be responsible for interpreting creative briefs, conducting research, and collaborating with account managers and creative teams to deliver compelling marketing and communications materials.

Responsibilities

• Interpret creative briefs to develop concepts for execution with assigned brands
• Research and understand need and target audiences through online searches, reviews of existing research, interviews with subject-matter experts, and in-person meetings
• Write original copy and edit content for a range of marketing and communications materials
• Collaborate with a team of account managers and creative staff, from concept development to delivery of final product
• Present copy concepts and final deliverables to internal team and client representatives when requested, and participate occasionally in client pitches
• Revise copy based on internal and client feedback

Requirements

• Proven experience as a copywriter or related role
• Strong portfolio of published articles or marketing materials
• Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills
• Ability to adapt writing style to different audiences and industries
• Familiarity with SEO principles and best practices
• Strong research skills and attention to detail

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in luxury brand marketing
• Knowledge of current trends in copywriting and marketing
• Familiarity with AI language tools for content generation
