About the position

The Copywriter at The Resort at Paws Up is responsible for creating engaging and persuasive content that reflects the brand's luxury image and attracts potential guests. This role involves collaboration with the marketing team to develop effective content strategies, conducting market research, and ensuring consistency across various marketing channels.

Responsibilities

  • Write engaging and original copy for various marketing materials, including website content, brochures, email campaigns, social media posts, and advertisements.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement effective content strategies that align with our brand voice and target audience.
  • Conduct thorough research to understand our target market, industry trends, and competitors to inform copywriting decisions.
  • Edit and proofread copy to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency across all marketing channels.
  • Adapt writing style to suit different formats and platforms while maintaining a cohesive brand voice.
  • Work closely with the design team to ensure copy and visual elements are seamlessly integrated.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting strict deadlines.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in copywriting and content marketing.
  • Refer to, and sometimes contribute to, in-house style guides to ensure that all content is consistent.
  • Edit and proofread their own work and that of others.
  • Condense complicated ideas into short, comprehensible clauses.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of professional copywriting experience. Experience in the luxury hospitality or travel industry is preferred but not required.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong advertising skills to craft compelling, persuasive content that drives brand engagement and conversions across multiple platforms.
  • Understanding of SEO best practices and the ability to write compelling, search-optimized copy preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Teamwork (or other project management software) preferred.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Creative thinker with the ability to generate fresh and innovative ideas.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the luxury hospitality or travel industry is preferred but not required.
  • Understanding of SEO best practices and the ability to write compelling, search-optimized copy preferred.
