About the position

Wilen is driven by industry-leading agency services and cutting-edge direct mail production. We provide strategic direct marketing solutions for national brands, leveraging innovative variable data technology, to turn concepts into finished digital and physical products, all in one seamless process. We are currently seeking an onsite Copywriter who can not only write a compelling headline but also tell a great story. As Copywriter, you will be responsible for creating content across a variety of industries and brands across all channels primarily direct mail and digital.

Responsibilities

  • Develop fresh, engaging copy in short, long and medium forms that align with the clients' strategic goals.
  • Execute highly conceptual marketing solutions including all forms of traditional print.
  • Write in a variety of styles as well as maintain brand voice and tone per specific clients' brand guidelines.
  • Write across all channels: print, digital, social and broadcast.
  • Manage multiple assignments simultaneously, attend related meetings and conference calls, and work efficiently and effectively within deadlines in a fast-paced agency environment.
  • Collaborate and communicate with fellow creatives as well other department members, all for the common goal of producing great work and client satisfaction.
  • Participate in brainstorming and collaborative sessions with clients and employees.
  • Present your work both to internal teams and to clients.
  • Take ownership of projects and manage multiple assignments simultaneously, in all stages of development from concept to completion.
  • Occasionally travel to client locations for presentations.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in creative writing, communications or equivalent.
  • 3+ years' creative writing experience in advertising, direct marketing or related agency environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to write in different styles and tones.
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills.
  • Strong conceptual thinker with the proven ability to translate marketing strategy into creative work.
  • Strong presentation skills, internally and client-facing.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously in different phases of development.
