About the position

The Copywriter will play a crucial role in the Revelyst Outdoor Performance Marketing team, focusing on technical and brand communications for various outdoor brands. This position involves creating engaging and authentic product descriptions, marketing copy, and collaborating with diverse marketing teams to support brand objectives and initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Write accurate and on-brand technical product descriptions that convey features and benefits of Outdoor Performance products.
• Create inspiring and educational marketing copy for print publications and digital communications including websites, email campaigns, and social media.
• Collaborate with marketing teams across Outdoor Performance brands to support product and brand marketing initiatives.
• Support content strategies and coordinate with content/editorial calendars to write timely and impactful copy.
• Work with product teams to translate complex information into engaging copy to support product sales.
• Edit copy in a timely fashion in collaboration with the Outdoor Performance Agency and brand managers.
• Create copy that guides marketing communications and campaigns based on high-level concepts.
• Utilize best practices for Search Engine Optimization to maximize brand reach and user engagement.
• Work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while improving workflow efficiencies.
• Communicate effectively with marketing teams to ensure projects meet quality and deadline expectations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in English, communications, marketing, or journalism.
• Experience producing copy for print and digital media channels.
• Proven success in producing copy for advertising or marketing campaigns.
• Exceptional skill in social media writing, including use of hashtags and relevant acronyms.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• Exceptional multitasking skills and ability to write in diverse styles and voices.
• Proficiency with common office software.
• Experience with SEO concepts and social media marketing.
• Creativity, adaptability, and ability to work collaboratively with a team.
• Experience with and a passion for the outdoors, hunting, and fishing.
