About the position

Mustache, part of the Daniel J. Edelman Holdings (DJE) family of companies, is seeking a talented Copywriter to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating groundbreaking, social-first campaigns for one of the world's leading tech brands. We are looking for someone who has a keen eye for social trends and can conceptualize, create, and execute ideas at the speed of culture. You will be part of a diverse group of creatives who are dedicated to shifting culture through innovative work, such as Good Humor x RZA's new take on the ice cream jingle, eBay's Drive-Thru Authentication Station, and the KFC 11 Herbs & Spices Firelog. As a Copywriter, you will be expected to bring your passion for pop culture, technology, and social media into your work. You should be well-versed in platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and Threads, and be able to take an idea from concept to client presentation, and quickly to people's feeds. We are not looking for filler content; we want to create fun, witty, and unexpected work that stands out in the earned space. If you consider yourself a maker or creator, that is a plus. You will need to have strong conceptual skills that can adapt to various formats, from campaign videos to earned activations. You will be joining a collaborative, curious, and kind team of creatives who are eager to push boundaries and create impactful work.

Responsibilities

  • High-level concepting, tactical program ideation and copywriting for a wide range of brand experiences, social content and marketing deliverables that generate conversation and brand engagement
  • Own the brand story for our clients across all channels, maintaining a consistent voice and vision
  • Create branded social content that is insightful, culturally relevant and inherently sharable
  • Successfully communicate (present and sell-in) creative ideas and the strategic rationale behind them
  • Collaborate with agency team members from creative, account, production, PR, strategy, planning and analytics to produce smart, powerful work
  • Work closely with a project manager and production partners to schedule projects and coordinate production
  • Prepare and present client creative presentations
  • Work effectively with external vendors and internal colleagues to complete projects within timeframe and budget

Requirements

  • 2-4 years experience in marketing, advertising or social media

  • Excellent short-form and long-form writing skills in a variety of voices and tones
  • Solid grammar, editing and proofreading capabilities
  • Willingness to push your craft, get your hands dirty and make great things
  • Social fluency and a solid understanding of how to drive conversation and engagement across social channels
