About the position

The COR Solutions Architect at BD is responsible for driving revenue creation through capital sales, service, software, informatics, and consumable revenue for the BD COR product line. This role involves consultative selling in complex environments, focusing on market development in IDN, acute care hospitals, and reference laboratories. The position requires collaboration with various stakeholders and managing long sales cycles while ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining revenue streams.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a strategic account sales plan targeting hospitals and reference labs.
  • Lead cross-functional teams without direct authority to achieve sales goals.
  • Deploy product features and benefits with economic justification tailored to customer needs.
  • Manage decision-making processes to secure contractual agreements for BD COR products.
  • Maintain customer satisfaction through consistent engagement and support.
  • Achieve or exceed sales targets for the designated product platform.
  • Communicate BD's long-term strategic direction to customers and demonstrate the value proposition of the product portfolio.
  • Manage the sales process involving clinical laboratory personnel and hospital administration.
  • Foster and establish relationships with clinical lab administration and executive leadership.

Requirements

  • BA/BS in Life Sciences, biological areas, business, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of documented sales success in large dollar capital equipment sales.
  • Strong knowledge of capital equipment sales in complex accounts such as hospitals and reference labs.
  • Experience in solution selling and leading without authority in a matrix organization.
  • Proficient in contract negotiation and building effective financial models.
  • Strong presentation skills, particularly to C-suite executives.
  • Experience with CRM/SalesForce.com management, funnel management, and forecasting.
