About the position

The Core Audio Triage Engineer will be part of the Audio Hardware Abstraction Layer (HAL) team at Apple, focusing on debugging and resolving software issues related to audio functionalities across various Apple platforms. This role involves cross-functional collaboration to enhance the audio experience for both customers and developers, requiring strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Debug and investigate software issues related to audio functionalities.
• Build tools and systems to support audio software development.
• Conduct engineering analysis to solve complex audio problems.
• Ensure quick resolution of bugs and support developer-facing APIs for applications and drivers.

Requirements

• 3+ years of industry experience in software engineering.
• Solid understanding of digital audio software and systems.
• Development experience with Swift, Python, Javascript, or other scripting/coding languages, preferably low-level experience with C/C++.
• Understanding of operating systems and/or real-time systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills and analytical abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• BS or MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
