About the position

The Core Engineering - JavaScript Developer position is a contract role based in either Salt Lake City, UT or Dallas, TX, requiring the candidate to work onsite five days a week. This role is designed for individuals with a strong background in JavaScript and web development frameworks, particularly Angular or React. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of object-oriented design principles and have significant experience in programming with Java. In this position, the developer will be expected to engage with various Java frameworks, including DropWizard, Spring, and Hibernate, and will need to demonstrate familiarity with distributed storage systems such as DB2, Oracle, Cassandra, and MongoDB. Additionally, the role requires knowledge of continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, particularly using Git, as well as a working knowledge of Unix/Linux environments. This contract position is expected to last for over six months, and candidates should have between 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in software development, particularly in Java and JavaScript. The role emphasizes the importance of strong programming skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities
