Our client is currently seeking a Core Java + Mainframe Developer for a temp-to-hire position located in Jersey City, NJ. This role operates on a hybrid model, requiring in-office attendance on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Core Java and Mainframe technologies, with a particular emphasis on web service skills. The position demands a comprehensive understanding of both Core Java and Mainframe concepts, making it essential for candidates to have hands-on experience in these areas. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, deploying, maintaining, and improving software applications. This includes working with various software engineering disciplines and demonstrating proficiency in business analysis, development, testing, and deployment processes. The role also requires a solid understanding of Agile methodologies and familiarity with frameworks such as Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, and Test Driven Development. Additionally, knowledge of application resiliency and security practices is crucial for this position. Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of coding experience in Java and 5 years of experience with DB2 and SQL.
