About the position

The Director of the Corn Palace is responsible for overseeing the management of the facility, including concessions, marketing, building maintenance, and organizing events such as sports, concerts, and the annual Corn Palace Festival. This role aims to enhance tourism and community engagement through effective relationship management and budget oversight.

Responsibilities

• Manage concessions and marketing for the Corn Palace.
• Oversee building maintenance and ensure the facility is well-maintained.
• Organize and coordinate events, including sports, concerts, and the Corn Palace Festival.
• Prepare and manage the budget for the Corn Palace operations.
• Generate new opportunities for tourism and community engagement.
• Implement and maintain positive working relationships with user groups, staff, supervisors, and volunteers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a business-related field or equivalent experience.
• Experience in management and event management preferred.
