About the position

The Senior Corporate Benefits Specialist will be responsible for administering and maintaining the company's benefits programs. This role serves as a liaison between associates, vendors, and the HR department, ensuring compliance with regulations and effective communication regarding benefits offerings.

Responsibilities

  • Manage 401(k) plan annual audits, IRS 5500 filing, weekly funding process, reconciliation, and Non-Discrimination Testing (NDT)
  • Manage the preparation and compliance of government filings and other tax-reporting requirements, including the Affordable Care Act (ACA)
  • Lead and manage the Annual Open Enrollment process, including setting up plan design changes in UKG Benefits Admin and coordinating HR Train the Trainer sessions
  • Assist in the development and delivery of educational materials regarding benefits
  • Provide timely responses to Corporate and field HR teams inquiries related to benefits and procedures
  • Coordinate and reconcile monthly/weekly billing for benefits
  • Partner with brokers and GSF's Benefits Consultants to address complex benefits issues
  • Analyze benefits reports to identify errors and collaborate with payroll, HR, and IT teams for resolutions
  • Troubleshoot and resolve file integration issues, error reports, and enrollment system configurations
  • Document and maintain administrative procedures for benefits processes
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in psychology, Human Resources, Education, or related field required from an accredited university
  • 4+ years of relevant work experience
  • Certifications such as SPHR, PHR, SHRM-SCP or SHRM-CP preferred
  • Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CBES) preferred
  • Comprehensive knowledge of HR/Benefits management subject matter
  • Experience in group medical/dental/vision plan administration
  • Experience in retirement/401(k) program administration
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and UKG (i.e., UKG Benefits Admin, UKG Pro, UKG Workforce Management)

  • Knowledge of compliance regulations related to employee benefits
