About the position

The Corp Finance Master Data Governance Analyst at Kroger is responsible for leading master data change and governance processes, ensuring data quality, integrity, and management to support business operations. This role involves understanding both business and technology needs to prioritize data improvement initiatives, managing the Oracle EDMCS application, and advising business teams on future process models. The analyst will also work closely with technical teams to customize and integrate finance applications, while upholding the company's core values.

Responsibilities

• Lead the master data change and governance processes.
• Drive data quality, integrity, and management for accurate business information.
• Understand business and technology needs to prioritize data improvement initiatives.
• Manage the Oracle EDMCS application and all financial Master Data Management (MDM) activities.
• Facilitate master data governance meetings with stakeholders.
• Coordinate the management and monitoring of master data requests across various systems.
• Implement processes to capture and track governance measures and metrics.
• Provide support and guidance to the Data Steward community.
• Oversee EDMCS security and custom validation tasks.
• Conduct business requirements and design sessions for MDM activities.

Requirements

• Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of accounting systems or auditor experience.
• 4+ years of accounting/finance experience or equivalent experience.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong negotiation skills and ability to influence others.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Strong time management and analytical skills.
• Ability to lead and motivate individuals from diverse functional backgrounds.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities.

Nice-to-haves

• Master's Degree in MIS or Master of Business Administration.
• Experience with BI technologies such as OLAP and PowerBI.
• Experience in data governance, data steward, or business process performance functions.
• 2+ years of experience in Oracle EDMCS and Data Relationship Governance (DRG) solutions.
• 4+ years of experience in master data management strategies and tools.
• CPA certification and understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
