About the position
Lead the master data change and governance related processes. Drive the data quality, data integrity and data management that will run the business with accurate and core business information and intelligence. Understand business and technology needs to drive and prioritize data improvement initiatives. Build data to help drive best in class data management activities, customer satisfaction, revenue growth and operational productivity. Own the Oracle EDMCS application, Oracle GL Cross Validation Rules (CVRs) and all financial Master Data Management (MDM) activities. Responsible for all delivery of the EDMCS application across the enterprise. Understand MDM lifecycle process and MDM governance. Play an advisory role to the business team on future process models. Work with and lead technical teams in regard to customization and integration of finance applications. Responsibilities
- Lead the master data change and governance related processes.
- Drive the data quality, data integrity and data management.
- Understand business and technology needs to drive and prioritize data improvement initiatives.
- Build data to help drive best in class data management activities, customer satisfaction, revenue growth and operational productivity.
- Own the Oracle EDMCS application and all financial Master Data Management (MDM) activities.
- Responsible for all delivery of the EDMCS application across the enterprise.
- Understand MDM lifecycle process and MDM governance.
- Play an advisory role to the business team on future process models.
- Work with and lead technical teams in regard to customization and integration of finance applications.
- Facilitate master data governance meetings with stakeholders.
- Administer tasks, activities and database tables associated with MDM.
- Implement processes and procedures to capture and track measures and metrics related to the governance of data.
- Provide support and guidance of data governance systems to the Data Steward community.
- Own managing hierarchies and enable data governance.
- Oversee EDMCS security, subscription, custom validation, lookup sets, and application registrations.
- Conduct business requirements and design sessions for MDM activities.
- Identify data sources and document the process.
- Travel to divisions to discuss process and conduct training.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of accounting systems or auditor experience or equivalent experience.
- 4+ years of accounting/finance experience or equivalent experience.
- Excellent oral/written communication skills.
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to persuade/influence others.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Strong time management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lead and motivate individuals from a wide variety of functional backgrounds.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel.
Nice-to-haves
- Master's Degree in MIS or Master of Business Administration.
- Experience with BI technologies and concepts, such as OLAP, PowerBI, and reporting applications.
- Experience in a data governance, data steward, and/or business process performance function.
- 2+ years of experience in Oracle EDMCS and Data Relationship Governance (DRG) solutions or equivalent experience.
- 4+ years of experience in master data management strategies and tools or equivalent experience.
- CPA Certified Public Accountant.
- Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) including the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of financial applications.
