About the position

The Director of Corporate Finance for Third Party Card and Digital Partnerships is responsible for designing and implementing the strategic direction for all card payment setups, processes, reconciliations, and systems across all business lines of the company. This role involves leading payment processes, minimizing payment expenses, maximizing cash flow from card payments, and developing innovative payment solutions that align with customer and company needs. The position emphasizes collaboration, leadership, and adherence to the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement strategic direction for all card payment setups and processes.
  • Lead and communicate all payment processes for the company.
  • Minimize payment expenses and maximize incoming cash flow from card payments.
  • Develop innovative payment processes that meet customer and company needs.
  • Oversee the transaction reconciliation process for all card payments.
  • Manage the transition of payment processes for newly merged entities, including contract amendments and funds settlement.
  • Develop strategy for managing multiple acquirers across various business lines.
  • Anticipate changes and trends in the competitive landscape.
  • Develop the enterprise payment expense budget and ensure compliance with card association operating rules.
  • Lead internal meetings across departments for payment strategy in various sectors such as Healthcare and eCommerce.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations for retail locations and digital payments.
  • Drive strategic partnerships to protect the company from risks related to card data security.
  • Develop cross-functional practices for internal departments that interface with store operations.
  • Collaborate with leadership to design a talent management strategy for acquiring and retaining talent.
  • Supervise and coach direct reports, completing performance reviews and providing feedback.

Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of financial management experience with an understanding of account reconciliation and P&L statements.
  • Ability to understand and draft contracts.
  • Strong prioritization and multi-tasking skills with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.
  • Ability to collaborate and work cooperatively in a team-based environment.
  • Strong understanding of industry and technical terms and processes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong leadership and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's Degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in the electronic payments industry.
  • Experience in leading the adoption of new and innovative practices for payments.
