About the position

The Corporate Senior Manager - Accounting Production at Coca-Cola UNITED plays a pivotal role in ensuring that production operations are supported with accurate financial information and insightful financial analysis. This position is integral to helping the company achieve its financial targets across multiple production locations. The Senior Manager will also act as a support and backup for the Controller's duties related to the National Product Supply Group, ensuring that financial controls are adhered to and that the financial health of the production facilities is maintained. In this role, the Senior Manager will carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with UNITED policies and applicable laws. This includes managing a team of accountants, interviewing, hiring, and training associates, as well as planning, assigning, and directing work. The Senior Manager will appraise performance, address complaints, and resolve problems to build positive associate morale. Additionally, the position involves preparing month-end financial closeouts and monthly reconciliations, creating annual budgets, and performing variance analysis to expected results. The Senior Manager will serve as a liaison between USD and the production facilities, providing necessary financial analysis and assisting the Controller on special projects and analyses. The role also requires the Senior Manager to assist in the development and implementation of new systems and reporting capabilities, ensuring that the financial operations are efficient and effective. This position is essential for maintaining the financial integrity of the production operations and supporting the overall goals of Coca-Cola UNITED.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of accountants, including interviewing, hiring, and training associates.
  • Plan, assign, and direct work for the accounting team.
  • Appraise performance and address complaints to resolve problems.
  • Prepare month-end financial closeouts and monthly reconciliations.
  • Create annual budgets and periodic forecasts for operating facilities.
  • Perform variance analysis to expected results.
  • Act as a liaison between USD and the production facilities.
  • Provide financial analysis as needed to support operations.
  • Assist the Controller on special projects and analyses.
  • Act as backup for the Controller on the National Product Supply Group (NPSG).
  • Assist in the development and implementation of new systems and reporting capabilities.

Requirements

  • Minimum age of 18 years old.
  • Valid driver's license required and obligation to maintain compliance with UNITED fleet policy.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance from a four-year college or university.
  • At least 7 years of related experience, including prior supervisory experience.
  • CPA License or ability to obtain CPA License within 3 years from date of hire.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to coach and manage the needs and concerns of multiple associates.
  • Strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with SAP or other large ERP systems required.
  • Cost Accounting experience in a manufacturing environment required.

  • Experience with SAP SAC and Power BI preferred.
