About the position

The Corporate Account Manager at Heritage Environmental is responsible for selling and maintaining corporate accounts, ensuring health and safety standards are met, and developing strong relationships with customers. This role involves working closely with regional sales organizations and corporate executives to identify and fulfill customer needs, while also managing a business support staff to ensure timely responses and satisfaction. The position requires strong negotiation skills and the ability to adapt to changing business environments, with a focus on achieving significant sales targets.

Responsibilities

  • Sell and maintain Corporate Accounts.
  • Ensure Health & Safety is the number one goal by following policies and acting safely.
  • Work with regional sales organizations to understand local and corporate needs.
  • Target $25-45 million per year from ongoing and new customers.
  • Build strong relationships with customers and develop professional services opportunities.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and other Corporate Account Managers to create focused sales strategies.
  • Negotiate contracts and service offerings effectively.
  • Manage business support staff for scheduling and proposal preparation.
  • Cultivate positive relations through community and government participation.
  • Stay informed on competitors' offerings and industry trends.
  • Train, coach, and mentor Account Representatives for performance improvement.
  • Prepare and interpret periodic reports on activities, sales volume, and expenses.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; four-year degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of general business, sales, and account management experience required.
  • 3+ years in the environmental industry or business development area required.
  • In lieu of a degree, 10+ years of relevant experience required.
  • Strong knowledge of computers, CRM, and expense reporting systems.
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision.
  • Knowledge of State & Federal Waste Codes Regulations.
