About the position

The Corporate Accountant at Ume Tea will manage the financial operations for the company's corporate locations, ensuring compliance with tax laws and maintaining accurate financial records. This role is crucial for supporting the company's growth and maintaining high standards of quality in financial reporting and operations.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and file sales tax and annual tax return for Ume Tea corporate locations, adhering to all applicable local, state, and federal laws.
  • Maintain precise financial records and general ledgers for corporate stores.
  • Conduct comprehensive financial audits to verify accuracy and compliance.
  • Collaborate with CFO to refine accounting processes and enhance financial reporting.
  • Offer financial analyses to aid in strategic planning and decision-making.
  • Stay informed on changes in tax legislation that could affect the company.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field.
  • CPA certification is required.
  • At least 1 year of accounting experience, ideally within a retail or corporate store environment.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Excel.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of sales tax laws and filing procedures.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration and reporting.
