About the position

The Corporate Accountant I position at Dominium is focused on ensuring accurate financial reporting for the Management Company. This role involves general ledger coding, journal entries, account reconciliation, and analysis, while also supporting the enterprise reporting team by pulling financial reports and conducting necessary analyses. The position is integral to maintaining the financial integrity of the organization and contributes to the overall mission of providing affordable housing.

Responsibilities

  • Record and code all transactions in the Management Company's operating account
  • Assist in processing and recording deposits for Dominium entities
  • Prepare and review intercompany payables for accuracy
  • Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations and assist in resolving variances
  • Administer the Management Company's US Bank corporate card program
  • Assist with all US Bank corporate card questions and respond to email inquiries
  • Review extracts for users' coding accuracy and prepare journal entries
  • Prepare month-end journal entries, including billbacks
  • Pull enterprise financial reports from the accounting system
  • Populate enterprise reconciliations and trends
  • Handle ad hoc projects and questions
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Maintain timely and regular attendance

Requirements

  • 4-year Accounting degree or 2-year degree with applicable years of experience
  • Good verbal and written communication in English
  • Proficient Microsoft Office skills
  • Yardi or other accounting software experience preferred
  • Problem-solving skills are required
