About the position

Fox Rent A Car is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Corporate Accounting Manager to oversee all accounting functions within the organization. This role is crucial for ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with internal controls, and effective communication between departments. The Corporate Accounting Manager will lead the annual audit process, manage tax-related schedules, and supervise the accounting team to foster professional growth and high performance.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and oversee posting accurate journal entries to ensure the proper recording of all business transactions.
• Prepare and review balance sheet account reconciliations to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial data.
• Conduct a thorough analysis of general ledger accounts for Profit and loss (P&L) and ensure all discrepancies are resolved promptly.
• Perform detailed variance analysis between actuals and forecast/budget at the overall corporate level and by individual departments and locations.
• Coordinate with external auditors and prepare necessary tax-related schedules for annual tax returns to lead the annual audit process.
• Draft, implement, and maintain internal control policies and procedures to ensure compliance and efficiency within the department.
• Serve as a critical liaison between the Accounting, Finance, and Operations departments to ensure smooth communication and collaboration.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff to ensure high performance and professional growth.
• Perform other duties as assigned by senior management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field of study
• Minimum of 10 years of Accounting, Finance, or related experience
• Proven experience as an Accounting Manager or similar role in a corporate environment
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• IFRS knowledge
• CPA required
• Experience with securitizations a plus
• Car rental industry experience preferred
