Our client is seeking a skilled and collaborative Accounting Manager to oversee their corporate General Ledger (GL) accounting team and lead monthly consolidations. Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily general ledger operations and month-end close processes
  • Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and balance sheet schedules
  • Ensure accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions
  • Maintain the chart of accounts and implement any necessary changes
  • Supervise accounts payable and receivable functions
  • Ensure timely processing of invoices and payments
  • Monitor cash flow and manage collections process
  • Lead the annual budgeting process
  • Prepare and analyze budget variance reports
  • Assist in budget-to-actual comparisons and explanation
  • Oversee the consolidation process for multiple entities or subsidiaries
  • Develop and maintain consolidation mapping structures
  • Ensure accurate elimination of intercompany transactions
  • Reconcile and validate consolidated financial statements
  • Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Develop and maintain key financial reports for management
  • Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations
  • Stay current with changes in accounting standards and regulations

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • CPA certification preferred
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 1 year in a management role
  • Public accounting and manufacturing sector experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements
  • Experience with consolidation processes and multi-entity reporting
  • Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
