About the position

As the Corporate Affairs Manager, Internal Communications, you are responsible for overseeing and executing the operational and tactical aspects of Arrow's communications framework, serving as a long-term lever to educate employees and drive conversations about Arrow. Through strong storytelling capability and attention to detail, you align with leaders to advance a communications strategy and practice that emphasizes Arrow's purpose and instills a One Arrow mindset. Working alongside and reporting to the corporate affairs director, internal communications, you will deliver sophistication and consistency in how Arrow shares information globally. In this role, you will deliver internal communications content using a defined set of strategies to ensure successful delivery of Arrow's communications content, emphasizing company culture and workplace experience. You will proactively tell stories through critical messaging, with a focus on digitization. Advising leaders and cross-functional stakeholders on Arrow's employee communication processes will be key, ensuring consistency in message that aligns with business intent. You will partner with relevant parties to maintain global standards and publish narratives that resonate with target audiences. Supporting the communication standard, you will develop messaging that is clear, interesting, and relevant in partnership with communications leadership and business stakeholders. Showcasing superior writing, editing, and presentation skills, you will simultaneously uplevel others to do the same. Measuring and sharing success will involve utilizing digital engagement tools to track, report, and improve outcomes and successes, communicating across multiple levels and channels to maximize messaging and impact. You will continually refine Arrow's framework through goal setting and prioritizing, delivering on opportunities to improve performance with respect to Arrow's communication framework, following leadership direction and utilizing technologies that advance the overall agenda. Working effectively across various teams and priorities, you will lead time-sensitive projects under tight deadlines, showcasing strong cross-departmental collaboration and responding to needs with urgency and resourcefulness. Your responsibilities will also include writing, editing, and reviewing internal communications content for various mediums, driving adoption of communication standards and practices globally, and collaborating with internal stakeholders to maximize communication effectiveness.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver internal communications content using defined strategies to ensure successful delivery of Arrow's communications content.
  • Advise leaders and cross-functional stakeholders on Arrow's employee communication processes, ensuring consistency in message that aligns with business intent.
  • Develop messaging that is clear, interesting, and relevant in partnership with communications leadership and business stakeholders.
  • Utilize digital engagement tools to track, report, and improve outcomes and successes.
  • Continually refine Arrow's communication framework through goal setting and prioritizing.
  • Lead time-sensitive projects under tight deadlines, showcasing strong cross-departmental collaboration.
  • Write, edit, and review internal communications content for various mediums, including articles, emails, flyers, presentations, and video scripts.
  • Drive adoption of communication standards and practices globally, ensuring alignment with Arrow's brand, image, and tone.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to maximize communication effectiveness.
  • Participate in projects that lead the digitization of corporate communications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, business, or related field.
  • Five or more years' experience with employee and business-related communications for a Fortune 500 company or global enterprise.
  • Superior writing, editing, and presentation skills; knowledge of AP style preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in storytelling through narrative, data-based, and presentation-related channels.
  • Strong process management and organization skills, directing work across multiple channels and functions.
  • Tech-savvy mindset and the ability to modernize practices through digitization.
  • Ability to coach and influence other organization levels and contribute to others' communication development.
  • Effective internal relationship building and stakeholder engagement.
  • Highly motivated, detail-and deadline-oriented, and adaptable to change.
  • Ability to learn and understand new concepts quickly, synthesize information, and generate meaningful insights.
