About the position

The Corporate Audit Summer Analyst Program (CAAP) - Automation, Data Quality, Technology at Bank of America is a 10-week summer internship designed to introduce participants to the workings of Corporate Audit and the broader organization. This program aims to enhance the interns' academic foundation by focusing on technical skills, industry knowledge, and familiarity with a corporate environment. Interns will receive extensive formal training at the start of the program, along with on-the-job support, mentorship, and various events throughout the internship. The program emphasizes the importance of building a strong knowledge base in technology, data quality, and automation within the audit function. Interns will have the opportunity to work closely with teams in Technology, Data Quality, and Automation, gaining insights into the technical areas of Corporate Audit and the Bank. They will be aligned with analytics and line of business teams to develop subject matter expertise that supports a proactive and continuous audit approach. The program also includes a mentorship component, networking events, and community service opportunities, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment. Throughout the internship, participants will engage in various responsibilities, including drafting quality audit reports, assisting with regulatory matters, and promoting a culture of risk management within the organization. The program is designed to provide a comprehensive experience that prepares interns for future careers in audit and related fields.

Responsibilities

  • Working with team to provide input to draft quality audit reports and support sharing audit results with business leaders
  • Fostering a positive and inclusive work environment
  • Assisting with the ownership of key regulatory matters related to the completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of data
  • Demonstrating strong problem-solving, critical thinking, communication, and project management skills
  • Promoting a culture across the company where risk management is embraced as vital to achieving responsible growth

Requirements

  • Candidates are required to be pursuing an undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university
  • Eligible candidates must have a graduation timeframe between November 2025 and August 2026
  • GPA of 3.2 out of a 4.0 scale or higher is preferred
  • Common areas of study include but are not limited to Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics, or other STEM majors
  • Candidates must have strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to adapt to change, be flexible and open-minded
  • Ability to effectively communicate quantitative topics to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Demonstrated proficiencies in Microsoft Office, leadership, teamwork, problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills
  • Ability to be decisive and committed to accomplishing tasks
  • Understanding of program applications including but not limited to Python, SQL, R, and/or C++
  • Self-starter with a desire to learn and teach others
  • Positive attitude and flexibility
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment with multiple concurrent priorities
  • Ability to work in a very detailed manner

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with data analysis tools and techniques
  • Familiarity with risk management concepts
  • Previous internship experience in a related field
