About the position

The Corporate Business Systems Manager and Technology Trainer will play a crucial role in enhancing operational efficiency within Davidson Homes by leading the development and delivery of training programs for business operations systems. This position requires a blend of technical expertise and training skills to ensure effective utilization of systems across corporate and divisional offices, supporting the company's growth in the homebuilding industry.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with divisions/corporate to standardize best practices with the use of platforms across all markets.
  • Analyze the efficiency and effectiveness of business systems and recommend solutions and processes to optimize utilization.
  • Collaborate with the IT department to ensure proper knowledge sharing and integration of systems.
  • Assess systems and applications for efficiency and long-term usability.
  • Recommend improvements and enhancements to optimize system performance.
  • Develop standard purchasing application framework, implement, and train.
  • Manage relationships with vendors and third-party providers.
  • Establish and enforce policies and procedures related to sales and purchasing applications.
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and industry standards.
  • Develop and manage budgets for applications and projects, ensuring cost-effective solutions and resource allocation.
  • Optimize resource utilization and prioritize initiatives based on strategic importance and business impact.
  • Develop and maintain roadmap that outlines the schedule and objectives for system training initiatives.
  • Develop comprehensive training programs for major intra-business systems, including NewStar, Build Pro, and Sales Express.
  • Deliver training sessions to new and existing employees across all markets, including hands-on training and support to ensure effective system utilization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5 years of experience in business systems training, project management, or a related role.
  • Experience in developing and delivering training programs.
  • Understanding of business systems like NewStar, Build Pro, and Sales Express.
  • Experience in project management, including planning, scheduling, and execution of large-scale initiatives.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Solid understanding of IT governance frameworks and best practices.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certifications in Project Management or Systems Training are a plus.
  • Experience with purchasing and purchasing software.
