About the position

The Corporate Change Manager at Burns & McDonnell will lead the development, execution, and maintenance of the change management portfolio within the business unit. This role is crucial for managing changes related to culture, job roles, organizational structures, and business processes, systems, and technology. The manager will create and implement strategies to maximize employee adoption and minimize resistance to large-scale change initiatives, ensuring alignment with business goals and enhancing overall organizational effectiveness.

Responsibilities

  • Lead development and implementation of comprehensive change management strategies and plans for various organizational initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify change impacts, risks, and mitigation strategies.
  • Assess the current organizational culture and readiness for change, designing interventions to foster a supportive environment.
  • Create clear and effective communication plans to articulate the purpose, benefits, and timeline of changes to stakeholders.
  • Identify and engage change champions and stakeholders to drive advocacy and support for the change process.
  • Lead training programs and workshops to equip employees with necessary skills for successful adoption of new processes.
  • Manage and monitor the effectiveness of change management strategies, gathering feedback for continuous improvements.
  • Address potential sources of resistance to change and develop strategies to overcome challenges.
  • Develop metrics and reports to track the progress and impact of change initiatives, providing updates to leadership.
  • Provide coaching and support to managers and leaders to guide their teams through the change process.
  • Coach and develop certified change practitioners in their strategies execution.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in change management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, organizational leadership, or related field.
  • 14 years of relevant experience in change management.
  • Experience and knowledge of change management principles, methodologies, and tools; Prosci ADKAR Model preferred.
  • Proven understanding of how people go through a change and the change process.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to present complex information clearly.
  • Demonstrated collaboration and leadership skills.
  • Critical thinking skills and ability to work methodically in a quantitative problem-solving environment.
  • Attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
  • Experience with large-scale organizational change efforts.
  • Change Management certification or designation; Prosci Certification preferred.
