About the position

The Corporate Coach Trainer at Prestige Fleet Services is responsible for developing and delivering training programs for mobile technicians to enhance their skills and knowledge. This role focuses on coaching, mentoring, and continuous training to promote efficiency and retention within the team. The trainer will work closely with management to assess training needs and create effective training materials, ensuring that technicians are well-equipped to perform their roles successfully.

Responsibilities

  • Liaise with managers to determine training needs and critique training sessions
  • Manage high volume training groups
  • Create, design and develop effective training programs which includes continuous training
  • Develop and maintain Standard Operation Procedures (SOPs) as it pertains to training
  • Conduct weekly training classes in group training sessions
  • Prepare educational material such as modules, PowerPoint presentations summaries, videos
  • Support and mentor new employees through continuous training
  • Maintain training records, progress reports and other data
  • Develop a process to measure performance of technicians and document and promote successes in training program
  • Monitor employee performance and response to training
  • Contribute to retention by successfully training and retaining technicians
  • Conduct evaluations to identify areas of opportunity for improvement

Requirements

  • Strong mechanical and technical diesel skills and knowledge
  • Thorough safety knowledge
  • Understanding of effective teaching methodologies
  • Ability to coach and mentor technicians
  • Willingness to keep abreast of new techniques in corporate teaching
  • Proficient in MS Office (especially PowerPoint) and other learning software
  • Excellent communication, presentation and public speaking skills
  • Organizational and time management abilities
  • Critical thinking and decision making
  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent work experience
  • Experience as corporate trainer preferred
  • Experience with FullBay software preferred
