About the position

The Corporate Communications Coordinator at Buffalo Rock Company plays a vital role in enhancing internal communications and promoting the company's core values through effective storytelling and information dissemination. This position is designed for a dynamic individual who will assist the Corporate Communications Manager in implementing communication strategies that engage and inspire Employee-Partners. The coordinator will work both independently and collaboratively to achieve organizational goals related to internal campaigns, intranet management, and event planning. In this role, the coordinator will be responsible for coordinating communication efforts between the Communications team and various department heads, ensuring that all projects are executed smoothly and efficiently. This includes managing project logistics, developing public relations assets, and maintaining media relationships. The coordinator will also be tasked with creating and editing content for the company's intranet, monitoring analytics to assess the effectiveness of communication campaigns, and collaborating with other departments to develop internal campaigns. Additionally, the Corporate Communications Coordinator will assist in planning and executing both internal and external events, ensuring that all branding guidelines are adhered to. The position requires a high level of ethical conduct and a commitment to continuous self-improvement through training and development. Responsibilities

  • Assist in coordinating efforts between the Communications team and Department/Committee heads to maintain continuous communication efforts for projects needed.
  • Coordinate communications project and presentation logistics, including length, deadline, asset list creation, and initial presentation layout.
  • Provide support in creation when needed.
  • Develop and execute public relations assets and strategies, including press releases and media pushes, while maintaining media relationships.
  • Create and assist in revisioning graphic design projects for internal or external use.
  • Write, edit, and schedule content for the company's intranet, coordinating with subject matter experts to maintain the content calendar.
  • Monitor analytics and create reports detailing the success and failures of communication campaigns and strategies.
  • Collaborate with Employee Experience and other departments to develop internal campaigns and determine best practices for distributing communications.
  • Monitor the company's social media platforms and online presence.
  • Assist in coordinating and planning internal events, including company meetings and annual holiday parties.
  • Assist in organizing and executing external marketing events and activities.
  • Provide support in organizing and managing the distribution of assets and day-to-day activities for all events.
  • Ensure all departments use Buffalo Rock templates, logos, email signatures, and brand guidelines correctly.
  • Maintain the organization of collected Buffalo Rock images and video footage.
  • Assist in communication development, editing, and proofing.
  • Assist in updating contacts, products, leadership changes, etc., on the BRC website and intranet.
  • Assist in content creation for the company's social media presence on Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Advertising, Public Relations, or a similar field required.
  • Two or more years of experience in a marketing, communications, or public relations position preferred.
  • Advanced experience in Microsoft Office 365 products, including Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
  • Knowledge of communications and marketing best practices.
  • Excellent knowledge and ability to apply AP writing style.
  • Ability to build effective working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Nice-to-haves

  • Graphic design experience, particularly with tools like Canva or Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator).
  • Knowledge of basic video filming and editing.
