About the position

The HR Communications Senior Specialist at City National Bank plays a crucial role in enhancing internal communications to inform and engage approximately 6,000 employees. This position focuses on updating colleagues about benefits, compensation, and career growth opportunities while ensuring alignment with the bank's strategic priorities. The specialist will develop and execute a comprehensive HR communications strategy, serving as a trusted advisor to the HR team and translating critical HR priorities into effective messaging.

Responsibilities

• Partner with key HR stakeholders to assess communications needs and develop strategic communication plans.
• Maintain an HR Communications calendar and create inclusive communications across various channels such as email, newsletters, and intranet.
• Lead multiple communications projects from conception to completion, including project management and administrative tasks.
• Ensure communications align with Corporate Communications best practices and reflect the bank's culture and values.
• Measure and monitor the effectiveness of communications for internal reporting and continuous improvement.
• Participate in additional projects and duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
• Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in writing, copy-editing, and proofreading.
• Minimum 6 years of corporate communications experience.

Nice-to-haves

• BA/BS degree in English, Journalism, Public Relations, or related communications field preferred.
• Finance/banking background preferred.
• Editing, AP Style, and business communications background a plus.
