About the position

CRHS recognizes the problems that both misconduct and non-compliance in the healthcare industry can pose to society. CRHS is committed to ensuring that it consistently operates under the highest ethical, moral and legal standards. As evidence of CRHS' commitment to continued compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations, the Board of Directors has directed, by resolution, the development and implementation of a comprehensive Corporate Compliance Program. The Corporate Compliance Program is the compilation of all detailed, written policies and procedures which define how CRHS seeks to prevent non-compliance, detect it if it occurs, and take appropriate corrective action to ensure that such behavior does not recur. It is an effort by CRHS to ensure that such policies and procedures are implemented, followed, and continuously updated. In addition, this position will serve as the Privacy Officer for CRHS and will oversee all ongoing activities related to the development, implementation, maintenance of, and adherence to the Health System's policies and procedures related to the privacy of and access to patients' protected health information (PHI) in compliance with federal and state laws and the Hospital's privacy practices.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the Corporate Compliance Program.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations.
  • Oversee the adherence to the Health System's privacy policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and update compliance policies and procedures as necessary.
  • Serve as the Privacy Officer and manage activities related to patient health information.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, law, or a related field.
  • One (1) year experience as compliance or privacy officer, or related position.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certified Healthcare Compliance Professional (CHC) designation.
