About the position

The Corporate Compliance and Risk Manager at Atchison Community Health Clinic (ACHC) is responsible for ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, including OSHA and FTCA, while implementing risk management strategies to minimize legal and safety risks. This role involves collaboration with various departments to monitor compliance programs and emergency preparedness initiatives across all clinic locations, ensuring a safe environment for both staff and patients.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direction and oversight in establishing and maintaining methods for monitoring compliance with ACHC's Risk Management Plan.
  • Maintain and update the organization's written Exposure Control Plan to ensure compliance with Bloodborne Pathogens Standards.
  • Conduct employee training on OSHA standards during onboarding and annually.
  • Oversee the Hazard Communication Program, ensuring proper storage and maintenance of Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations by developing necessary policies and training modules.
  • Conduct periodic audits to ensure documentation and employee familiarity with OSHA standards.
  • Lead the development and execution of comprehensive risk assessments across all clinic locations.
  • Collaborate with the Quality Improvement and Risk Management Subcommittee teams to organize incident reports for board review.
  • Serve as the primary coordinator for emergency preparedness initiatives across all clinics.
  • Update the Emergency Preparedness Plan with clinic-specific protocols.
  • Organize regular emergency drills and facilitate staff training on emergency protocols.
  • Maintain and update crisis communication protocols for operational readiness.
  • Ensure all compliance and training records are up to date for regulatory audits.
  • Work with legal and accreditation bodies to maintain certifications and compliance standards.
  • Lead compliance education through Relias, ensuring timely training on relevant topics.
  • Assist in developing, revising, and implementing risk management policies and procedures.
  • Perform monthly walk-through risk assessments at all clinic locations.
  • Manage FTCA risk requirements, ensuring assessments and training are completed.
  • Develop and maintain a Crisis Communication Plan for critical incidents.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare management, Public Health, Nursing, or a related field.
  • Active driver's license and reliable transportation.

Nice-to-haves

  • Minimum of 3-5 years in healthcare compliance, risk management, or related fields.
  • Experience with OSHA, FTCA, and emergency preparedness.
