About the position

The Corporate Controller will lead the Accounting Department of a large restaurant franchising company based in Wichita, KS. This leadership role requires a versatile individual who can think outside the box and manage various accounting functions, including mergers and acquisitions. The position involves a hybrid work model, with a strong emphasis on project management and financial oversight.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Accounting Department and oversee all accounting functions.
  • Manage mergers and acquisitions, particularly within the restaurant sector.
  • Implement new accounting systems and processes as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
  • Prepare financial reports and analyses for executive management.
  • Collaborate with the CFO on strategic financial planning.

Requirements

  • Must have a CPA certification.
  • Minimum of 6 years of accounting experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a controller role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in mergers and acquisitions, preferably in the restaurant industry.
  • Proficient in accounting software and general ledger accounting.

Nice-to-haves

  • Project management experience, especially in installing new systems.
