The ideal candidate will lead our accounting team, ensuring that all financial operations align with the company's strategic goals and regulatory requirements. The Corporate Controller will be responsible for overseeing the financial health of our Colorado division, which includes managing cash flow, preparing monthly financial statements, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and legal agreements. In this role, the Corporate Controller will also be tasked with hiring, training, and supervising accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment. The position requires a deep understanding of the casino industry's financial landscape, including oversight of the Colorado Gaming Control Board's regulations and statutes. The Corporate Controller will play a key role in budget planning and financial strategizing for our gaming departments, ensuring that all financial activities are executed with precision and integrity. The successful candidate will be expected to create annual budgets and conduct monthly variance analysis, providing insights that drive informed decision-making. This position is not only about managing numbers but also about leading a team and contributing to the overall success of our hospitality group. Responsibilities

  • Hire, train & supervise staff
  • Manage cash flow
  • Prepare monthly financial statements
  • Manage receivables
  • Create annual budgets and monthly variance analysis
  • Ensure compliance on all regulatory licenses and permits, leases, contracts, legal agreements, and the proper execution of all operational taxes
  • Oversight of Colorado Gaming Control Board MICs, regulations and statutes, budget planning and financial strategizing for gaming departments for Colorado Properties
  • Oversees Cage, Accounting, Warehouse & Drop/Count Team

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in accounting or finance
  • 5+ years of experience in a management role
  • Experience in Casino industry
  • Strong understanding of GAAP
