About the position

The Corporate Controller position at BGSF in Houston, TX, is a full-time role focused on managing all aspects of accounting and finance within the company. This position offers significant growth opportunities and reports directly to the CFO. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in public company accounting and will be responsible for overseeing financial statements, general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, budgeting, and the development of accounting systems and policies.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of accounting and finance including financial statements, general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and budgeting.
  • Oversee financial reporting and ensure compliance with SEC regulations.
  • Develop and improve financial records and documentation.
  • Create and implement accounting systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Conduct audits and manage audit processes for public company/SEC clients.

Requirements

  • 5-8 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in a public company setting.
  • CPA certification or in the process of obtaining it.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Experience with large ERP systems, with implementation experience preferred.
  • Audit experience with public company/SEC clients.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in Technology, Green Energy, or Environmental Services is a plus.
