About the position

The Corporate Controller at AlloSource plays a pivotal role in ensuring the integrity and accuracy of the company's financial records. This position is not just about numbers; it is about safeguarding the company's assets and providing timely and precise financial information to both internal stakeholders and external parties. The Corporate Controller will oversee critical areas such as the General Ledger, Cost Accounting, Inventory Management, Accounts Receivable and Payables, and Payroll. This role is essential in maintaining the financial health of the organization and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements. In addition to managing day-to-day accounting operations, the Corporate Controller will lead corporate-level accounting projects, including audits and the development of financial policies and procedures. This position requires a strategic mindset, as the Corporate Controller will work closely with senior management to provide insights that drive business decisions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, with a proven track record of managing complex financial systems and processes. Responsibilities

  • Oversee the accuracy and fairness of the company's financial records.
  • Protect the company's assets through effective financial management.
  • Present the organization's financial position accurately and timely to internal and external users.
  • Manage the General Ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded correctly.
  • Oversee Cost Accounting to ensure accurate product costing and profitability analysis.
  • Manage Inventory Management processes to maintain optimal stock levels and valuation accuracy.
  • Supervise Accounts Receivable and Payables to ensure timely collections and payments.
  • Oversee Payroll processes to ensure accurate and timely employee compensation.
  • Lead corporate-level accounting projects, including audits and compliance initiatives.
  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA certification is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, with at least 3 years in a managerial position.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
  • Experience with financial software and ERP systems.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the biotech or healthcare industry.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance in the biotech sector.
  • Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in financial modeling.
