About the position

The Corporate Controller will be responsible for ensuring financial accuracy and the efficient operation of the accounting department. This role involves overseeing all accounting functions, including the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll, while also leading the implementation of the ERP system and designing internal controls. The position offers an opportunity to contribute significantly to the financial health and operational efficiency of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and supervise the accounting department functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger
  • Ensure the timely preparation and accuracy of financial statements in line with GAAP
  • Lead and manage the month-end and year-end close process
  • Develop, implement, and maintain accounting processes and procedures for improved efficiency and financial accuracy
  • Design and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Lead both internal and external audits, ensuring their timely completion
  • Act as a subject matter expert and leader in the ERP implementation, spearheading testing and developing process improvements
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment
  • Keep the team updated on best practices in accounting and finance
  • Utilize accounting software systems, CRM, and Crystal Reports for efficient financial reporting and management.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar role as Corporate Controller
  • CPA certification
  • Ability to establish and build relationships with geographically dispersed team members
  • Proficiency in using 3M
  • Extensive experience with Accounting Software Systems
  • Knowledge of ADP - Financial Services
  • Adept at using CRM
  • Familiarity with Crystal Reports
  • Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions
  • Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP)
  • Experience in handling Accounts Receivable (AR)
  • Hands-on experience in Auditing
  • Solid understanding of Budget Processes.
