About the position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Corporate Controller to oversee our financial operations and ensure the integrity of our financial reporting. The ideal candidate will possess strong financial acumen and a deep understanding of budgeting, financial management, and technical accounting principles. As the Corporate Controller, you will play a crucial role in guiding our organization's financial strategy and compliance with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of the company's accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with GAAP and SOX requirements.
• Oversee the budgeting process, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
• Conduct account reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records and resolve discrepancies.
• Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets.
• Collaborate with external auditors during audits and ensure compliance with governmental accounting standards.
• Provide insights on financial concepts to support strategic decision-making by senior management.
• Utilize financial software to streamline accounting processes and enhance reporting capabilities.
• Stay current with industry trends and changes in regulations that may impact the organization's financial practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
• Proven experience as a Corporate Controller or similar role within a corporate environment.
• Strong knowledge of budgeting, financial management, technical accounting, and governmental accounting practices.
• Proficiency in debits/credits and account reconciliation processes.
• Familiarity with various financial software applications to facilitate efficient operations.
• Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Strong leadership abilities to manage finance teams effectively.
• Exceptional communication skills for conveying complex financial information clearly.
