As a Vice President of Corporate Controller in the Valuation Control Group Commodities team, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the valuation control framework for the North America Power, Gas, and Environmental desk. This position encompasses a wide range of responsibilities, including independent price verification, valuation adjustments, and fair value measurement. You will be tasked with ensuring that the valuation controls accurately reflect market dynamics and that they are efficient and effective in capturing emerging valuation risks. Your role will involve reviewing complex transactions associated with the Global Gas business, where you will challenge the trading business to ensure that appropriate constraints and controls are in place. You will also partner with Quantitative Research and Model Review Groups to assess the limitations of trading models, implementing necessary compensating controls and adjustments. In addition to these responsibilities, you will own the relationship with the Front Office and key partners in Finance, Technology, and Risk. This will involve providing value-added analysis on month-end results, illiquid and concentrated valuation positions, and revenue from new deals and complex transactions. You will also participate in various projects within the group and the wider Finance organization, collaborating with Front Office, Quality Reporting, and Technology, and addressing inquiries from the bank's regulators during regulatory exams.
