About the position

T-Mobile is seeking a Corporate Counsel to join its All-Star Legal Team, primarily supporting the Marketing, Advertising, Digital, and Communications business teams. This role is based at one of T-Mobile's corporate headquarters in Bellevue, WA, or Overland Park, KS. The successful candidate will provide legal advice on consumer-facing marketing materials, offers, and the launch of new products, services, and promotions. As a trusted advisor, the attorney will work closely with internal business clients across various cross-functional teams, advising on a broad range of strategic legal and business matters. The role requires providing business-practical solutions and assisting the business in assessing short-term tradeoffs in the context of broader strategic imperatives. In addition to providing legal counsel, the Corporate Counsel will drive departmental initiatives, including the development or redesign of legal support processes to increase efficiencies and better align with the needs of the business. Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice on consumer-facing marketing materials, offers, and the launch of new products, services, and promotions.
• Serve as a trusted advisor for internal business clients across a range of cross-functional teams.
• Advise on a broad range of strategic legal and business matters, providing business-practical solutions.
• Assist the business in assessing short-term tradeoffs in the context of broader strategic imperatives.
• Drive departmental initiatives, including the development or redesign of legal support processes to increase efficiencies.

Requirements

• 2 - 4 years of experience as a business or litigation attorney, with top law firm and/or relevant in-house experience.
• Juris Doctor from an accredited university with outstanding academic credentials.
• Current bar membership (in good standing) in at least one U.S. state; eligibility for admission to Washington or Kansas bar.
• Demonstrated ability to lead highly complex projects and other high impact initiatives and navigate ambiguity.
• Ability to establish self as subject matter expert in specialty field(s).
• Ability to interact with senior management with strong executive maturity.
• Ability to mentor and lead others informally in areas of expertise.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with other legal and business professionals in a complex organization with a focus on delivering results efficiently.
• Keen pragmatic business sense with strong judgment and analytical skills, including the ability to translate the needs of senior leaders into action.
• Ability to operate independently and effectively in a dynamic environment.
• Ability to interact with a variety of personalities across the business organization.
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills to handle competing priorities.
• Ability to work efficiently, meet demanding deadlines, and balance multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Desire and ability to work as part of a team.
• Interest in and aptitude for consumer protection, advertising, and intellectual property law required.
