About the position

The Corporate Counsel will support Amazon's Buy with Prime and Multi-Channel Fulfillment businesses by providing legal counsel on commercial, licensing, technology, and regulatory matters. This role involves structuring, drafting, and negotiating commercial transactions while working closely with sales and business development teams. The Corporate Counsel will serve as the lead legal advisor on strategic issues, helping to resolve challenges in commercial relationships and develop business-centric legal strategies.

Responsibilities

• Counsel sales and business development teams on commercial, licensing, technology, and regulatory matters.
• Structure, draft, and negotiate commercial transactions.
• Serve as lead counsel on strategic issues and deals.
• Provide day-to-day legal input on business and strategy.
• Resolve issues that arise in commercial relationships.
• Develop strategies for handling legal issues in a business-centric manner.
• Build processes that address risk while allowing business flexibility.

Requirements

• 5+ years of legal experience.
• Juris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalent.
• Experience in transactional and technology licensing or equivalent.

Nice-to-haves

• A mix of corporate law firm and in-house experience is a plus.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to cross-functional teams.
