About the position
The Corporate Data Warehouse Developer III is responsible for designing, developing, and testing data warehouse integration solutions. This role involves collaborating with technology, business, and vendor teams to meet the data analytic needs of the organization. The developer will implement ETL processes, mentor other developers, and provide technical support to reporting teams, while ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop data warehouse integration using type-2 slowly changing dimension techniques.
- Develop and test ETL processes to integrate and validate business data from various systems.
- Collaborate with business and technical teams to understand and model data analytics needs.
- Guide and mentor other developers in data processing design and testing.
- Provide technical support to reporting and data analysis teams.
- Review existing development processes to optimize the team's capabilities.
- Advise on industry best practices and evaluate new tools for data analytics.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Database Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 7 years of experience in Data Warehousing (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, DB2).
- 7 years of software development and testing experience.
- 5 years of experience with Kimball style dimensional data systems.
- 5 years of experience extracting data from structured, unstructured, and semi-structured source systems.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with additional ETL tools such as Informatica, Talend, or Data Stage.
- Familiarity with data modeling tools like Erwin or Rational Rose.
