The Database Administrator will report to the VP of Business Data Solutions and functionally to the Global Commercial Strategy Team. This role is crucial for the creation, maintenance, and lifecycle management of the lens commercial catalog. The Database Administrator will focus on transitioning master data from the current state to a future state architecture, ramping up operations, and supporting the new SAP commercial catalog architecture. The position involves significant collaboration with various teams, including Operations and Marketing, to ensure successful execution of product assortment strategies and troubleshooting of sales order issues.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain lens commercial catalog master data and manage its lifecycle.
• Activate lens orderability on systems, including managing sales dates and end-of-life dates.
• Support the development, testing, and maintenance of lens sales order entry tools and digital catalog interfaces.
• Troubleshoot blocked sales orders and issues with lens sales order creation, analyzing causes and resolutions.
• Partner with the US Marketing Team on lens assortment strategy and manage execution through product lifecycle management.
• Coordinate with Business Units and Operations/Supply Chain for Lens New Product Introduction (NPI) planning and execution.
• Participate in lens master data evolution and integration projects.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in a relevant field.
• 5+ years of experience in data governance or master data support role.
• 4+ years of experience with SQL database software or similar database tools.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, along with strong presentation and documentation skills.
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks/projects effectively.
• Strong organizational and team-working skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Undergraduate degree in data analytics or engineering.
• 4+ years of experience in the ophthalmic lens/lab services business.
• 2+ years of experience in SAP AFS/ECC software (MM module - material management).
• Experience with SAP ECTR (Engineering Control Center) software.
• Familiarity with concepts related to nodes, composites, properties, and attributes.
• Experience in New Product Introduction (NPI) and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) strategic planning and execution.
