Corporate Development Analyst Program

About the position

The Corporate Development Analyst Program at Palomar is a two-year initiative designed to cultivate future leaders by providing hands-on experience across various key functions such as mergers and acquisitions, strategic planning, and investment management. Participants will engage in cross-functional assignments, receive mentorship from senior leaders, and develop both technical and interpersonal skills essential for career advancement within the company.

Responsibilities

• Prepare a variety of analyses related to internal strategic initiatives and M&A
• Develop reports and presentations in support of strategic initiatives
• Perform company and market research
• Monitor the competitive landscape to generate new product ideas
• Develop deal memorandums and financial models for new insurance programs
• Provide executional support for ceded reinsurance placements and assumed reinsurance transactions
• Contribute to investment strategy through analysis of new asset classes and prospective third-party investment managers
• Prepare monthly and quarterly investment portfolio reports
• Support investor relations and quarterly earnings release activities

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree expected to be obtained in 2025
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
• Analytical, data-oriented, and driven individual
• Demonstrable track record of working autonomously and driving progress
• Intellectually curious, creative thinker, and pragmatic
