About the position

Blue Cross of Idaho Health Service is seeking a talented and driven Corporate Development Financial Analyst to join our dynamic Corporate Development Team. In this role, you will support the team in identifying and implementing strategic acquisitions, equity investments, joint ventures, and other important partnerships. Your contributions will be vital in enhancing the revenue and profitability of our organization through asset acquisition, company investment, and relationship building. As a Financial Analyst for Corporate Development, you will work closely with the entire team to conduct financial analysis and create models that aid in decision-making and performance tracking. You will have the opportunity to collaborate directly with key individuals, including CFOs, controllers, and founders of portfolio companies. Your ability to build strong connections and promote open communication will be crucial in producing accurate financial models and achieving successful results. One of the unique aspects of this opportunity is the flexibility to work remotely from a mutually agreed-upon location. To be considered for this role, candidates should have a minimum of 7 years of experience in financial analysis, including financial modeling and investment analysis. A Bachelor's Degree in Finance or a related field is required, or equivalent work experience. Additionally, we highly value candidates who possess a CPA and/or MBA, have prior healthcare experience, and have a background in data analysis and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Performing comprehensive financial analyses for company investments and commercialization models
  • Applying advanced data analysis skills to deliver strategic recommendations and actionable insights
  • Monitoring and tracking financials, analyzing performance, and identifying trends
  • Assessing and measuring the return on investments using expertise in financial principles and investment strategies
  • Developing financial models, including pro forma combination models and discounted cash flow analysis
  • Assessing financial information and preparing succinct presentations for senior management
  • Supporting the due diligence process and monitoring potential strategic investments
  • Developing strategic rationale for acquisitions and investments aligned with corporate strategy
  • Exercising good judgment and discretion regarding sensitive or confidential matters
  • Working independently and prioritizing responsibilities under the pressure of competing assignments

Requirements

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in financial analysis, including financial modeling and investment analysis
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or a related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Possession of a CPA and/or MBA is highly valued
  • Prior healthcare experience is preferred
  • Background in data analysis and financial reporting
